● Application:

Bullet proof Silicon Nitride (Si₃N₄) ceramic is an excellent combination of material properties. They are nearly as light as silicon carbide (SiC), but their micro-structure gives them excellent fracture

toughness, high hardness, and high bending strength. It is formed by cold isostatic pressing and sintered by Gas Pressure Sintering (GPS) and Hot Isostatic Pressure (HIP).

The bullet proof silicon nitride ceramic can be used as vehicle protection armour (such as war craft, armed helicopter, tank, infantry fighting vehicle, armoured vehicle) and body protection armour (such as bullet proof vest and bullet proof helmet).
